Emerson College may appear to be a relatively small liberal arts college, however, the school prides itself on its international connections and partnerships with other film schools throughout the world. Most recently they announced a new initiative with the Paris College of Art, which will allow a group of students to study for their film degree in Europe while visiting other campuses on the continent. The global outlook of the school offers this very exciting opportunity for prospective students who are keen to travel, however, the facilities at the local campus in Boston are also very impressive.
Having newly renovated the site to include studio space for Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and 3D modeling, Emerson College is staying up to date with the latest industry technologies. Emerson alumni include Henry Winkler, Iliza Shlesinger, Adele Lim as well as veteran television producer Norman Lear. Former student Stefani Robinson, best known for her writing on FX’s Atlanta, praised the college’s campus environment as fully immersive and exciting and she found that she was able to absorb films “in a totally different way.”
